Christmas means shopping, meeting family, gifting and of course, holidays! We all look forward to the Christmas holidays. Everyone, no matter in whichever part of the world, is in a festive mood. There is happiness, celebration and a lot of cheer, all around. People love traveling during the holidays or meeting up with their family and friends.

A family party
It’s a lot of fun meeting up with the entire family and especially the cousins. Imagine all the laughter, games and amazing food that everyone can enjoy. You could call over the family at your place. And if there are many family members turning up, why not plan to stay together for a couple of days in a resort or farmhouse? All the family members can volunteer to get something or the other. For example, someone can organize the games and someone can get snacks and drinks. And of course, when the entire family is together, how about cutting a gorgeous Christmas cake and enjoying all the other Christmas goodies, such as candies and ice creams.
If all your family doesn’t stay in the same city, then a virtual family party can also be fun. Organize an online meeting with all the family members and enjoy a good time chatting and catching up with each other. You can link your phone or tab to a TV for a grand view of the party. You can set a common menu, which all remote families also prepared. And then do some eat some of the common things together. We are sure, you would enjoy it. You can play a lot of games online too. And don’t forget to send over your Christmas cards too.
Friends Sleepover
Call over your close friends for a relaxed sleepover at your place. Since it’s holiday time we are sure your friends would love to just enjoy a few days without thinking of homework and assignments. You can design your room as Santa’s gift factory or any other theme you like. Make it into a jungle and create a mini tent for yourselves or design it as a library and throw in cushions and mattresses. The idea is to get together with friends and enjoy!

Christmas party
Who doesn’t like a party! And a Christmas party is special because you can get really creative and imaginative with the theme, decorations, gifts and food. Everything can be centered on Christmas including the dress code too. You can decorate your house with a Christmas Tree or with stars and hollies. One of you can also dress up as Santa and go around wishing the others. Let there be music, dance and games to keep everyone entertained.

We understand because of COVID traveling has lessened quite a bit. We all traveled to places or visited our grandparents during our holidays. But this year it might be a little different, though not impossible. It is best to travel to a place that is not too far off from your home. Maybe a weekend drive to a beach resort or hill station? Or better why not visit a national park or check the migratory birds at a sanctuary? You can trudge along comfortably in your car and explore any unknown destination. But make sure that the hygiene and safety standards are high, no matter where you go.
Precaution and care
The Christmas and holidays this year require extra care and caution. Because of COVID we have to be careful to avoid crowds, keep social distance, wear a mask and wash our hands regularly. For all the fun things you plan for the holidays make sure you follow the rules above. If you have family members or your friends coming to your home, make sure they are wearing masks and sanitize and wash their hands as soon as they enter your home. You also do the same if you are visiting them.
For dining together you can try keeping enough space between chairs to maintain social distancing. If you are organizing the Christmas party make sure to put a sanitizer bottle at the entrance and a few extra masks ready to give to the guests. Of course, do not panic and enjoy yourself, but at the same time be careful and take all the necessary precautions.
Planning and organizing
Now that you have a few ideas on what you can do this Christmas and holiday season, begin planning. Planning and organizing your holiday is very important too. Otherwise, we feel very sorry when the holidays get over. Besides, meeting family and friends or heading out for a short trip you can also do a lot of other things during these holidays. Learn a new skill online or begin an exercising routine since you would be free in the morning without any online school classes. Read up a book series or start making New Year greeting cards for all.
And if you do think of planning a party or family gathering, then let us tell you, there is a lot of work you have on hand. Deciding on the theme, making or ordering the decorations, preparing the food and helping mummy cleanup are huge tasks. So don’t waste time! Plan ahead and plan well!
